Product Description

Wall Runway Dike And Retaining Reinforce Grid Plastic Erosion Geocell  Seam Peel Strengths 1000N

3D HDPE Geocells are engineered for protection and stabilization applications.

They are often used to help improve the performance of standard construction materials and erosion-control treatments.
HDPE Geocell products are three-dimensional, expandable panels made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE geocell), polyester or another polymer material.
When expanded during installation, the interconnected strips form the walls of a flexible, three-dimensional cellular structure into which specified infill materials are placed and compacted. This creates a free-draining system that holds infill materials in place and prevents mass movements by providing confinement through tensile reinforcement. Cellular confinement systems improve the structural and functional behavior of soils and aggregate infill materials.

3D Honeycomb Road Geocell Different Types :

Based on Surface Texture

Smooth Geocells:
Characterized by a smooth surface, these are often used in applications

where reduced friction with the soil is desired.

Textured Geocells:
Feature a textured surface to enhance frictional resistance and soil-geocell interaction,

providing better soil confinement and stability.

Based on Perforation
Non-perforated Geocells:
Offer higher strength and are used in applications requiring greater structural support.

Perforated Geocells:
Allow for water and air passage, which is beneficial in certain erosion control and soil stabilization projects where drainage is a key requirement.

Plastic HDPE Geocell Technical parameter:

  • Seam Peel Strength
    Definition:
This refers to the strength of the weld between the geocell panels.
    Classification:
Higher seam peel strengths are desirable, indicating a more robust and durable product. Manufacturers list these strengths as key specifications for their products, such as ≥1000 N, ≥1500 N, or ≥2000 N.

Types of Soils for Geocell

1. Clay soils

Clay soils are composed of smaller, tightly packed particles that generally hold water better than sandy or loamy soils. Because of their dense structure, they are often more stable, but can be difficult to excavate or construct on. Installing geocell in clay soils can improve their stability and compressive strength, making them more suitable for construction and other applications.

2. Sandy soils

Sandy soils, on the other hand, are composed of larger grains that allow water to flow through easily. The soil particles are looser, which can make it difficult to stabilize and even transport them. Installing geocell in sandy soils can help improve their load bearing capacity, reduce erosion, and prevent soil migration. The cellular confinement provided by geocells ensures that the soil particles stay in place and do not move around.

3. Gravelly soils

Gravelly soils have a high percentage of coarse fragments and little or no fine material. They can be challenging to stabilize, as the loose particles do not provide enough support. Installing geocell in gravelly soils can improve their stability and provide a solid foundation for construction or other heavy loads.

4. Organic soils

Organic soils are made up of decomposed plant material, such as peat or muck. These soils are often weak and compressible, which can lead to structural instability and foundation failure. Installing geocell in organic soils can increase their shear strength and compressive modulus, providing a stable foundation for construction and other applications.

5. Silty soils

Silty soils are composed of medium-sized particles that fall between clay and sand in size. They can be cohesive or non-cohesive, depending on the amount of clay present. Installing geocell in silty soils can help improve their shear strength and reduce their susceptibility to erosion and other forms of soil degradation.

3D HDPE geocells Common applications :
3D HDPE geocells are highly versatile and are used in a variety of civil engineering

and construction projects:

Roads and pavements: Used for stabilizing the subgrade and base course of paved and unpaved roads, driveways, and parking lots.

Erosion control: Applied on steep slopes (up to 45 degrees), embankments, and riverbanks to prevent soil erosion and promote vegetation growth.

Retaining walls: Used for constructing reinforced, tiered retaining walls and gravity structures.

Channel and riverbank protection: Protects against scour and erosion in riverbeds, channels, and drainage ditches.

Railway subgrade reinforcement: Used to stabilize the track bed for railways

Gruound Stabilisation
Cellular Confinement Systems strengthen the aggregate infill, thereby simultaneously enabling the use of poorly graded inferior material for infill as well as reducing the structural support layer thickness.Typical stabilisation applications include reinforcement of base and subbase layers in flexible pavements, including: roads, railway substructure and ballast confinement;working platforms in intermodal ports; airport runways.

Retaining Wall
Cellular Confinement Systems provide steep vertical mechanically stabilized earth structures (either gravity or reinforced walls)
for steep faces, walls and irregular topography

Slope Pretection
Semi-Automatic PET Bottle Blowing Machine Bottle Making Machine Bottle Moulding Machine PET Bottle Making Machine is suitable for producing PET plastic containers and bottles in all shapes.

Load Support
Cellular Confinement Systems have been used to improve the performance of both paved and unpaved roads by reinforcing the soil in the subgrade-base interface or within the base course. The effective load distribution of geocell creates a strong, stiff 3D cellular mattress which can reduce vertical differential settlement into soft subgrades, improves shear strength, and enhances load-bearing capacity, while reducing the amount of aggregate material required to extend the service life of roads.

In conclusion, geocell technology has a wide range of applications, and can be used in a variety of soil types to improve stability and load-bearing capacity. Whether you are working with clay, sand, gravel, organic, or silty soils, installing geocell can provide a cost-effective, durable solution to soil stabilization problems. By choosing the right type of geocell and installation method, you can ensure that your project is built on a solid foundation that will stand the test of time.
