1. Fiberglass geogrid Basic definition and structure

 

Material composition

Based on alkaline glass fiber yarn, it is coated with modified asphalt or polymer material to form a grid structure.
It has high strength, low elongation (<4%), high temperature resistance (melting point 1000℃) and low temperature resistance (-100℃).


Structural features
The warp knitting process enhances the fiber strength, improves the tensile, tear and creep resistance.
The coating process can enhance the wear resistance and shear resistance and extend the service life
.

 

2. Mainly application place


Road engineering
Asphalt pavement reinforcement: prevent reflective cracks and delay rutting, suitable for old cement road reconstruction, bridge and tunnel connections, etc.
Roadbed reinforcement: control uneven settlement at the junction of new and old roadbeds.
Slope protection, dam reinforcement, reservoir anti-seepage and other scenarios, provide anti-scouring and soil stability.

Mechanical properties
High tensile strength (elastic modulus is 20 times higher than asphalt concrete), low elongation (<3%), no long-term creep.

Apply polymer-modified tack coat (0.6-0.8 kg/m²)

Minimum 300mm side overlaps, 500mm end overlaps

Minimum 75mm overlay thickness recommended
