Polyester Geogrid Coated with PVC is a high-performance geosynthetic material

where high-tenacity polyester (PET) yarns are coated with a Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) layer.

This combination leverages the superior tensile strength and creep resistance of polyester,

while the PVC coating provides crucial protection and enhances the interaction with soil.

Manufacturing Process Coating PVC Polyester Geogrid:

Yarn Production: High-tenacity polyester yarns are produced.

Weaving/Knitting: The yarns are woven or knitted into a grid-like structure.

Coating: The open grid fabric is passed through a bath of molten PVC or PVC paste,

fully encapsulating each individual yarn.

Heat Setting: The coated grid is passed through an oven that cures and sets the PVC coating,

ensuring a strong bond to the polyester core.

Aperture Formation:

The process is controlled to maintain the open apertures (holes) of the grid, which are essential for soil interlock.
